How much should you invest in your branding?

❄ Over the holidays, we’ve answered a lot of questions about how we run our branding studio. The question of pricing ourselves came up a few times.
 
I found myself explaining that, in our industry, and more specifically within the freelancers and agencies who create full visual identities, the range of prices is as wide and diverse as the people who offer that service. There is no right or wrong answer, apart from finding the perfect fit for you, as a client. 🤝
 
When shopping for a partner to create your logo and identity, you might want to settle for the lowest price, who seemingly offers you the exact same elements than the 5 digits quotes you got.
 
Don’t get me wrong, when I look back at the presentations that I delivered some 6, 7 years ago as a young freelancer, I don’t cringe with embarrassment, or regret that I didn’t charge as much as we do now. I gave my clients the best that was possible for me to offer with my experience, time, and budget. I was the right fit for them at the time.
 
🌟 But today, our most successful clients all have one thing in common: they invested in our expertise and gave us the means to deliver it. 🌟
 
Looking at the work that we produce today, there are some essential elements that testify of more experience, knowledge, and talent. Our presentations aren’t necessarily longer, but a few things differentiate them from smaller budget projects:

✅ We’ve tapped into our experience to go deeper into the background research. Our knowledge of competition and often of our client’s industry set the foundations for a successful branding project. 
✅ A bigger budget also means more time, and as we know, creativity cannot be rushed. Giving us the time to find the perfect concept and bring it to fruition through days of trial and error allows us to create designs that will stand the test of time, trends, and growth in your business.
✅ We have easier access to incredible talents to bring along. Having several brains bring your ideas to life is a luxury that will give your brand that much more depth and versatility.
